This coming Week we are off to Dorset!
I have been giving lots of talks recently, 3 this past week in fact, its lovely meeting so many interested people and sharing my love and knowledge of the birds and my daily life with them .
If you're interested in attending a talk and are local to Wimborne Minster, I will be visiting the East Dorset Heritage Trust at Allendale House on Tuesday, 20th October this week.
My talk will start at 2pm and with me I will have gorgeous old London, my favourite Harris hawk, along with Doogal the kestrel, Wilfred my husband and very handsome barn owl, along with young Hobnob my new tawny owl, looking very grown up and Texas my gorgeous and very serious looking red tailed buzzard.

Tickets priced at £10 per person are available directly from the trust
please 01202 888992 to purchase tickets.
I will be giving an insight into what life is like as a falconer and what is involved in caring for these birds on a daily basis, as well as explaining all of the amazing adaptations unique to each of the birds to enable it's success as a predator. Life in the wild is far more challenging than most of us appreciate for these birds, so I will highlight a few of the challenges and struggles their wild cousins face.
There will be the opportunity for questions and for you to take pictures and meet the birds at the end.
