Hawk Talks and Visits

Hampshire Hawk Walks

shawfordsprings6.jpg

Birds of prey are a fascinating subject that can appeal to all ages, and I can tailor a talk to work with teachers when learning about the natural world, conservation, food webs and the natural world around us. I find that children are often more engaged when you have a live bird for them to see and relate to.

If you are seeking an educational and interactive speaker then i can visit with my team to deliver an interesting and varied talk about birds of prey and my life as a falconer.

I will bring along a Harris's hawk, Wilfred the barn owl, Doogal the kestrel and Texas the Red tailed buzzard for you to meet and learn about and to have the chance to hold. These birds give a good basis to understand the differences between many of the species and how they fly and hunt.

I have visited, residential homes, schools, clubs WI groups, U3A groups,  scouts and guides to name a few, all seem to greatly enjoy meeting the birds and learning lots of facts about them and their wild counterparts.
