Thank you so very much for an absolutely brilliant afternoon in the grounds of Chawton House.
Myself and my 10 year old Granddaughter Emily had the immense and unique pleasure of handling Willow the Owl and Caffrey the Harris Hawk whilst my son Martin spectated and took photographs.
To be so up close and face to face with such beautiful, magnificent creatures was amazing.
Caffrey gave an absolutely Stella performance and display of his flying and hunting skills.
Anita your encyclopedic knowledge and passion for your birds was a joy to share, we all came away with so much knowledge about skills and differences of the various types of Hawkes, brilliant.
A splendid day out that we would thoroughly recommend to all, young and old.

Wow! What an amazing experience! Anita is so knowledgeable about falconry. Guiness, what a handsome young bird. This is something ticked off my bucket list. It wasn’t as I expected it to be. It was so much more!! I suffer from a bad back and was worried all the walking would have me in a lot of pain. We walked at a nice slow pace, chatted the whole way and interacted with Guiness. Can not recommend highly enough! I’m still grinning from ear to ear thinking about it! I may have to treat myself next year! Also you could see the hawk, Guiness, was in fabulous condition so you know they are looked after properly. Thank you Anita and Guiness for a fabulous day xx

We had a very informative afternoon with you and Trinity. It was great to be out experiencing a Hawk's natural behaviour hunting in woodland. What a great experience, walking through woods at Four Marks with Anita and London! Anita is so knowledgeable that the two hours went in a flash. London flying onto my hand and feeding was amazing. This was arranged as a birthday present by my husband, so thank you…

I booked a hawk walk as a surprise birthday present for my husband. We had a wonderful afternoon, with Anita and her hawk Guinness. The time disappeared between watching Guiness, flying and listening to Anita talking about her hawks. Her enthusiasm is very infectious, and we both learned a lot about falconry. My husband has said it was his best birthday present, and would love a repeat experience.

Thank you so much for a really enjoyable Hawk Walk with the majestic Guinness yesterday and all the informative information about your life as a falconer. We all thoroughly enjoyed our walk despite the rain .

I bought the woodland Hawk Walk as a Christmas present for my husband, and it truly was the most magical experience for us both! Anita met us at the woods with two of her beautiful harris hawks, Sherlock and Guinness, who were going to be flying with us on the walk, and before we set out, we learnt about their different characters. Anita is brilliant company, and so passionate about her birds and lifestyle. The walk was at a perfect pace, and we all chatted along the way, flying the birds and learned so much about the mysterious ways of the hawks and the woods. We would both absolutely recommend this experience - I could write about it all day as it was so special. Thank you Anita, Sherlock and Guinness!

What a fantastic experience! Bridget and I had great fun getting to know Caffrey. The woodland setting was beautiful and unspoiled and Anita was very friendly and welcoming. She put us at ease and told us lots about her hawks and their behaviour. I would thoroughly recommend going on a Hawk Walk!

Thank you for a wonderful morning and these photos! London was rather silly taking a bath after getting caught in the rain…it was clearly not the ideal solution for coping with rain soaked feathers😁. A rather belated THANK YOU from Mark, Oliver, Thomas and I to you and to London for our brilliant ‘hawk walk’!
We weren’t really sure what to expect so the whole experience came as a wonderful surprise to us all. Oliver and Thomas had just the best time, Thomas told me that no-one at school could believe he’d had a Harris Hawk on his arm and been feeding it squirrel. Both the boys learnt so much about birds of prey whilst with you and were so very pleased to have had the opportunity – they’ll remember it for a long time.
Mark also loved his rather belated birthday present – but it was well, well worth the wait. We both appreciated the love and respect you have for your beautiful birds and for nature and the landscape.
Thank you for opening our eyes to something we hadn’t experienced before, it was just great.

I just wanted to thank you again for today - the most brilliant experience, enjoyed equally by the young, middle aged and elderly! It was a great privilege to be in a beautiful landscape, on a lovely day with such incredible creatures and to see the interaction between the two of you.

Hats off to Hampshire Hawk Walks and Anita – not forgetting the majestic Sherlock, the Harris Hawk. We had the most amazing, unforgettable experience with them, as a special birthday gift for my husband. It’s actually hard to express it adequately in words – it’s one of those things that you simply have to experience and be there.

The gentle walk across meadows and through ancient woodland was amazing in itself – but add to this the presence of a handsome Harris Hawk flying and swooping overhead, then the walk turns into something very special indeed. Sherlock, the hawk that Anita brought for our walk, was an absolute star. His flights were magical to watch, but nothing can compare with the experience of seeing this incredible creature swooping down to land gracefully on your outstretched, gloved hand.
And throughout the walk we learned more and more about these amazing birds, thanks to Anita’s wide-ranging knowledge and experience. Her passion for the hawks was clear, and it was a real privilege to observe the close working relationship and trust that existed between falconer and bird.
What a morning we had – like no other – memories forever. Thanks to Anita and Sherlock for sharing those amazing hours with us, and for letting us into their magical world.
