What Is A Hawk Walk ?
Uniquely set in a beautiful 1000 acre Hampshire estate, our Private Woodland Hawk Walks and hunting experiences offer a slower, more personal experience immersed in the atmosphere and natural beauty of a pristine woodland filled with nature not other people.
If you are looking for a unique private and very hands on falconry experience far removed from crowded tourist attractions and public group sessions then look no further than a walk with us.
Each experience is carefully tailored to create a calm, memorable encounter with one of my amazing hawks in a truly natural setting. Along the way, guests learn about falconry, local wildlife, woodland ecology and gain a wider appreciation for the woodland, the flora and fauna that call it home.
A private hawk walk is a great way to spend a couple of hours and get close to nature, an opportunity to really relax and detach yourself from the stresses and complications of the modern world while learning all about these amazing predators and the environment they live in. My focus is to allow you to see the hawk exhibiting all of it's natural behaviour's while also giving you the chance to handle and be close to them throughout the session. My ethos is to work in partnership with these majestic creatures and really develop a deep understanding of how they hunt and work together as a team.
All walks and experiences are one to one, you are not in a group with strangers, so your experience is completely unique to you and your guests, giving you the opportunity to really be a falconer for the whole session and get to know the hawk I have chosen for your walk.

Private Barn Owl Walks
From the picturesque village of Chawton, home of Jane Austen , I offer a truly unique opportunity to handle and fly a barn owl, one to one in a beautiful country estate setting, we will wander across the lawn at Chawton House and through the trees with the barn owl following and flying between us, landing on their favourite perches and demonstrating their hunting skills, repeatedly returning to your gloved hand for rewards throughout the experience.
An absolute must for all barn owl fans, this is a real opportunity to see an owl with complete freedom but also one that is very content and enjoys being around us. Owls are fascinating creatures with amazing adaptations to help them find their prey, so I will share lots of interesting facts with you as you enjoy your time with Wilfred or Wispa. We give you the opportunity to just stop and witness the beauty of a barn owl in natural flight, and also to appreciate how silent they really are. ​
Chawton House offers the perfect backdrop for an afternoon or summer evening walk with a barn owl. We try to walk when the gardens are closed to other visitors so you have complete privacy with the owl.

Barn owl walks are a good option for children and also small groups, there is limited walking required and the owls are very interactive and safe to handle with guidance. ​
